MS Congeniality TV

If there’s one thing people ask me about the MOST, it’s confidence. Old people, young people, rich people, poor people.. heck, even the husband of a reigning beauty queen asked me to consult his wife on her confidence issues. I am the unofficial advisor for confidence around the world!

The truth is.. I don’t know how I am as confident as I am. In fact, I look back on my life’s work and often wonder myself why in GOD’s name did I wear that or look like that and STILL have the confidence to get up and roar like a total boss like that.

Inside of me is a wealth of assurance of who I am and why I was put on this Earth. I believe it’s in you too. Sometimes the things that get in the way are our fears, our own self-judgement or concern of what others will think. Maybe it’s the glass ceiling that seems lower for some than others. Attitude is everything.

The empowerment section of this blog is a series of topics that all relate to confidence in one form or another. Pour yourself a cup of coffee and have fun!

10 Tips for Confidence

  1. You get to decide WHO you are in the world.
  2. You can change WHO you are at any time too.
  3. Success breeds success. Your confidence will grow as you consistently build WHO you are and meet challenges.
  4. You can’t make everyone happy. Even Mr. Rogers had haters, trust me.
  5. If you’re thinking it, others are too. So don’t be scared to say it.
  6. Dress the part. How you present yourself VERY important.
  7. When nervous, focus your attention on others.
  8. Ask questions. Ask a LOT of questions. Ask questions to everyone including your partner, your boss, your friends, your enemies, and complete strangers. It’s hard to feel lost when everyone is giving you clues.
  9. Trust your gut. (Unless you can’t tell the difference between your gut and your fears. Then, don’t listen to it. Follow the path you’ve decided on.)
  10. Figure out your mission. It can have several facets, but it can’t be at odds with itself or you’re obviously going nowhere.
